My country not allowed on the servers.

Hi, I used to play on the servers ok when i had ISDN, but since i got my ADSL a few days ago it says my country is not allowed on, and kicks me after bout 10 seconds.

Is it just my new conection, or are English banned from the swedish servers.

During couple weeks after 1.6 where launched the country-kicker where disabled.

The following countrys is allowed on Swedish Maffia servers: SE, NO, DK, FI.

Ah right, i thought it might be my conection cause i cant download the CS movies anymore either.

Is the country kicker to keep high pings away or sumthing?, cause i noramlly get a 60 ping on swedish servers, and the swedish guys in my clan noramlly get bout 60 on English servers.

The main reason is the get rid of people with high ping, but also we get less problems for some reason when we only allow nordic countries to connect. During upgrade to 1.6, for a while anyone could connect to the servers, and then there were some real idiots playing here. Don't know if it was because all banned wonids were lost or what it was, but we got quite a few people named "Adolf Hitler" playing at the servers... I guess 95% of these idiots came from germany...

Fair enough, cant blame ya for not wanting to play with idiots.

I wish the SteamID and the players IP were linked, so such idiots could be banned permamently.

Looks like ill have to stick to our clan servers for now then, anywayz cheers for explaining it, maybe i can play on maffia when i visit one of my swedish clanm8s.
