Direct x 9 problem med Geforce 4..

Då jag är fullkomligt värdelös på datorer, så vänder jag mig nu hit med hopp om att få rätsida på mitt problem. Jag har precis installerat ett nytt gfxkort (Geforce 4 Ti 4200) och har ett problem. Varje gång jag startar ett spel (sims2) får jag följande felmeddelande:

"Hittade ingen DirectX 9.0c-kompatibel grafikadapter på denna dator! Kontrollera att du har en DirectX 9.0c-kompatibel grafikadapter och att du har installerat de senaste drivrutinerna från grafikkortstillverkaren.
Programmet kommer nu att stängas av."

Har liknande problem med Deus ex - invisible wars + att filmklipp numera hackar utan dess like.

Har testat att formatera etc, och har de senaste drivarna samt direct x 9 installerat. Kortet ifråga stödjer visserligen inte direct x 9, men har en polare med samma grafikkort som inte har några problem att lira samma spel. Nån som har en aning vad felet kan vara?

Har du SP2 (Sverice Pack 2) installerat? (förutsätter att du har windows XP)
Jag rekommenderar en SP2-installation (tänk på att stänga ner antivirusprogram samt anda program som kan störa innan) annars.

Har för mig att det är ett problem just med DirectX 9.0c och Sims 2, var en annan tråd uppe om samma ämne för ett tag sedan...

Jopp. SP2 installerat. Det kanske är något just med the sims 2, men blir fundersam när inte DX2 funkade heller.

Har du tittat på Microsoft.com? De brukar ta upp problem med Direct X.

Har kikat runt där, men hittar inget som löser problemet. Får söka vidare. Om någon här hittar en lösning så hojta gärna till.
