Ahn Quiraj
AQ attunament quest goes through the 20man instance according to WoWradio speculations, the first pulls in the 20man instance is a bit easier then the Molten Giant pulls in MC
The zone will open with a war between the Horde and the Alliance (and presumably the Cenarian Circle) and the returning Ahn'Qiraj menace. The war begins in Silithus, but takes place all over the world. Before the new dungeons are opened up, players of all levels will help fuel the war effort by gathering materials and achieving certain military objectives. Meanwhile, the uber guild types will be assembling a four-part scepter, which is used to ring the gong outside the Scarab Gate. And at which point, all hell breaks loose, and Silithus is consumed in a massive war. When the dust settles, two new dungeons are available on the server forever more.
The expectation is that most servers will accomplish the tasks within three weeks of the dungeons being patched in with the 1.9 patch later this year. On the off-chance the players on a given server have no particular interest in advancing the war effort, non-player characters will eventually get the job done on their own.
Naxxramas
They also briefly talked about Naxxramas, Kel'Thuzad's necropolis floating above the undead-controlled city of Stratholme. The final fight will include a massive frostwyrm and the necromancer Kel'Thuzad himself.
Decursive:
Blizzard plans to add digital signature checking for mods, to prevent the use of mods like Decursive. Details are not known at this stage as to when this will be implemented but designer Rob Pardo said that 'they're close'.
Paladins
* Staying with Paladins, they will definitely be getting an upgrade in patch 1.9. Chilton has said that some blessing, seals and judgements will be combined so that they can be improved with less talent expenditure, and a group blessing spell that when cast on a character in a raid or group will cast that same blessing on all other characters of that class. There was also talk of extending the duration on all blessings to 10 minutes (or even 15).
Enchanters
Enchanters will be happy to hear about the inclusion of enchanting oils that can be sold on the auction house. These oils will grant temporary abilities on weapons and armour. These abilities will include +spell power, increased damage and the like.
High-end items will now disenchant into 'Nexus crystals' -- a powerful ingredient for epic enchantments. One such enchantment includes a +20 fire spell damage to gloves. |

Quote: | At 1pm I met up with Quutar for the Class Discussion panel in Hall B. While we were waiting for things to start up we talked about what all he had done that morning. He then told me a very interesting tidbit.
One of the screenshots shown of the new Expansion had a shot of the back torso of a huminoid lizard wearing PC armor. It's quite possible that this might be the new Alliance Race, but I didn't see it personally so I can't tell. Blizzard is being EXTREMELY tight lipped about the second race. take what you will, but it's a possibility to consider! |
